Trango Towers Climbing Expedition
The Trango Group is a stunning collection of mountains located in the Baltoro Glacier region, known for its breathtaking scenery. Among these peaks, the Great Trango (6,286 meters) and the Nameless Tower (6,251 meters) provide excellent climbing opportunities for those seeking an exceptional Himalayan experience. These climbs are characterized by moderate technical challenges and relatively low altitudes compared to other Himalayan climbs.
These famous rock walls in Pakistan are recognized as some of the highest on Earth. To promote trekking and mountaineering in the region, the Government of Pakistan allows climbers to ascend peaks up to 6,500 meters without requiring a climbing permit or paying royalty fees. This presents a fantastic opportunity to explore these remarkable peaks in the Karakoram range.
To enter the Baltoro region, climbers need only a trekking permit and must complete a briefing and debriefing with the Tourism Department in Skardu or the Alpine Club in Islamabad. There is no need for a climbing permit, liaison officer, or any additional fees.
