KILK PASS AND MINTAKA PASS TREK
Kilik Pass and Mintaka Pass, located to the north of Misgar, have a deep historical significance as they were integral parts of the ancient Silk Road. The historic Mintika pass that connects Pakistan with China. The historic Kili pass is also located in Misgar, and it leads travelers to Afghanistan. These passes served as the customary caravan routes connecting Pakistan and India to Tashkurgan before the Karakoram Highway was established. These passes were once part of the ancient Silk Road linking Central Asia to China. These twin high passes (Mintika ~4,700 m; Kilik ~4,600 m) offer a blend of rugged Karakoram scenery, centuries-old caravan routes, and sweeping glacier vistas. Best Season is mid-June to early September, and difficulty: Challenging—high passes over 4,600 m. Glacier travel experience
