The Patundas (sometimes spelled “Padundas”) Trek lies in upper Hunza, nestled between the Batura and Passu glaciers. Rising to about 4,170 m at the Patundas Pass, it offers spectacular views of 7,000–8,000 m giants—Batura, Shisper, Passu Peak, Baltar, Karoon Koh, Dastagil Sar, and more. It starts from Borith Lake of Gulkin Village. You will have to cross-navigate the Passu Glacier’s crevassed lower sections. Patundas’ wildflower-studded pastures with dramatic limestone
outcrops.Unobstructed views of Batura (7,785 m), Passu (7,388 m), Shisper
(7,619 m), Rakaposhi (7,788 m), and more. Stay in summer Wakhi pastures; taste fresh yogurt, buttermilk, and cheese. The best season is mid-June to late September. And the difficulty is Moderate; the highest camp is at 4,100 m. Good fitness and basic glacier travel skills are required.
