ARUNDU - SPANTIK BASE CAMP TREK
The journey to Spantik Base Camp typically begins in Skardu, where travelers embark on a jeep ride through the Shigar Valley to Arandu village. From Arandu, a three-day trek leads to the base camp, traversing the Chogolungma Glacier and passing through scenic spots like Chogo Brangsa and Bolocho. The trek offers a mix of terrains, including lush valleys, glacial moraines, and panoramic mountain vistas. Passing through remote settlements like Mantikura and Khurumal, trekkers gain insights into the local Balti culture.
